                    BASARA GNANA SARASWATHI TEMPLE is popular in India, because of the two famous Saraswathi Temples in India, the other being in Jammu & Kashmir. The Gnana Saraswathi Temple is a Hindu Temple of Goddess Gnana Saraswathi located on the banks of Godawari river at Basara, Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh State, INDIA.
                Gnana Saraswathi is the Hindu Goddess of knowledge and learning. Children are brought to the to the temple for the learning ceremony called as "AKSHARA  ABYASAM".
                Many pilgrims come to Basara Gnana Saraswathi Temple to perform the "AKSHARA ABYASAM" ceremony for the children, before they start formal school education. The children perform the exercise of letters, and devote note books, pens, pencils, to the goddess of knowledge.
                On special day the lot of pilgrims are visited to Basara Saraswathi Temple for their darshan and it is about 205 km from Hyderabad, the Capital City of Andhra Pradesh.
