KHANDALA AND LONAVALA are one of the most popular hill stations in the state of Maharashtra, India. Khandala is a hill station in the Western Ghats and it is about 3km from Lonavala and 7km from Karjat. Lonavala is famous hill station throughout India for the hard candy sweet known as Chikki and also major stop on the rail line connecting Mumbai and Pune.
          Both the Mumbai-Pune Expressway as well as Mumbai-Chennai highway pass through Lonavala. Khandala and Lonavala hills are best tourism spots to visit during the monsoon season as the countryside turns lush green with waterfalls and ponds.
