Munnar Hill Station in Kerala



MUNNAR  is a hill station on the western Ghats, a range of mountains situated in the Idukki district of the Indian state of Kerala.
          The name Munnar is believed to means "three rivers" referring to the town's strategic location at the confluence of the Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. Munnar town is Kannan Devan Hills village in Derikulam taluk and is the largest Panchayat in the Idukki district having an area measuring nearly 557km2.
          Munnar hill station is a best tourism spot in Kerala state and the Munnar hill station is also well holyday destination.The nearest railway station Ernakulam and Aluva, and it is around 140 km from this Munnar hill station and the nearest Airport is Cochin International Airport, Kerala, which is 105 km away.
          In Munnar hill station, the temperature ranges between 5 Degree centigrade and 25 Degree centigrade in Winter and 15 Degree centigrade and 25 Degree centigrade in Summer. This Munnar hill station have the pleasant climate and lot of people enjoy this climate.
          The temperature as low as -4 Degree centigrade have been recorded in the sevenmallay region of Munnar hill station and the maximum daily temperature is at its lowest during the monsoon months with the highest temperature being 19 degree centigrade. some people called this station Seven hills Munnar.
