Mecca Madina Muslims Pilgrimage Site History, Images, Hajj, Saudi Arabia



MECCA MADINA also transliterated as Makkah, is a city in the Hejaz and the Capital of Makkah Province in Saudi Arabia.
         The Mecca Madina city is located 70 km inland from Jeddah in a narrow valley at a height of 277m above Sea level. The Mecca Madina is famous pilgrimage site for Muslims People.
         Its resident population in 2012 was roughly 2 million, at the pilgrimage site of Mecca Madina, in Saudi Arabia, although visitors more than triple this number every year during Hajj period held in the twelfth Muslims lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
        The history state that, Muslims or Islamic tradition attributes the beginning of Mecca Madina to Ishmael's descendants. Many Muslims point to the old Testament chapter Psalm 84:36 and a mention of a Pilgrimage site at the valley Baca, that Muslims see as referring to the mentioning of Mecca as Bakkah in Quran Surah 3:96.
        The Mecca Madina history stated in the book of "Secret of Moses", which claimed that Mecca was built by Ishmael and his eldest son Nebaioth.
        As the birthplace of MUHAMMAD and a site of the Muhammad first revelation of the Quran. Mecca Madina is regarded as the holiest city in the region of Islam and a Pilgrimage site to it known as the Hajj is obligatory for all able Muslims.
        Mecca Madina has lost some historical structures and archaeological sites, such as the Ajyad Fortress. Today more than 15 million Muslims visit this Mecca Madina Pilgrimage site annually, including several million during the few days of the Hajj.
        The history state that, the Mecca Madina full official name is Makkah Al-Mukarramah, which means "Mecca the Honored", but is also loosely translated as "The Holy City of Mecca", and also stated in history, the ancient or early name for the Pilgrimage site of Mecca is Bakkah. The form Bakkah is used for the name Mecca in the Quran in 3:96, while the form Mecca is Tihamah.

         The Muslims perform the Hajj at least once in a lifetime at the famous Pilgrimage site Mecca Madina, Saudi Arabia and it is approximately 80 km inland from the Red Sea. Mecca houses the Masjid al-Haram, the largest mosque in the World. The mosque surrounds the Kaaba, which Muslims turn towards while offering daily prayer. This mosque is also common known as the Haram or Grand Mosque.
        The Mecca Madina, Saudi Arabia, economy has been heavily dependent on the annual Pilgrimage, and Mecca's culture has been affected by the large number of Pilgrims that arrive annually, and thus boasts a rich cultural heritage.
