THE STATUE OF LIBERTY is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in the middle of New York Harbor, in Manhattah, New York City.
The Statue of Liberty height is 93 meters and construction started in 1875. The history state that the Statue of Liberty designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28,1886, was a gift to the United States from the People of France and the Statue photos have been downloaded by the people throughout the World.
In a history it was noted that, the Statue of Liberty is of a robed Female Figure representing Liberate, the Roman Goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4th,1776. A broken chain lies at Liberty Statue feet.
The Statue of Liberty in New York City is an icon of Freedom and of the United States, stated in history and at that time the Statue of Liberty Photos were published by many International Magazines and News Papers. Here the World Trade Towers destroyed by terrorist also appeared in this old photo and it is pasted in this blog.
The history state that the Statue of Liberty was constructed in France, shipped overseas in crates, and assembled on the completed pedestal on what was then called Bedloe's Island. The Statue of Liberty completion was marked by New York City First ticker-tape parade and a dedication ceremony presided over by President Grover Cleveland.
After the September 11 ( 9/11 attacks) attacks in 2001, the Statue of Liberty was closed for reasons of safety and security, the pedestal re-opened in 2004 and the Statue of Liberty in 2009, with limits on the number of visitors allowed to ascend to the crown.
In New York City, the Statue of Liberty installation was a history Land mark of New York City. The Statue , including the pedestal and base , was closed for a year until October 28,2012, so that a secondary staircase and other safety features could be installed.
The Statue of Liberty and island opened on July 4, 2013. The visitors have been enjoying here and photo snaps will be taken by them. Public access to the balcony surrounding the torch has been banned for safety reasons since 1916.
