Telangana people celebrate this Bathukamma flower festival up to 9 days during the Durga Navratri. Bathukamma festival starts on the day of Bhadrapada Amavasya and the 9th day festivities will culminate on Saddula Bathukamma or Pedda Bathukamma festival on Ashwayuja Ashtami.

This year means after formation of Telangana State, the Telangana State people are celebrating the great Bathukamma festival from 24/09/2014 to 02/10/2014, during this 9 days period, the Telangana are participating and enjoying in this festival.

On this Bathukamma festival occasion, the men, women and children will be collecting the natural flowers from the forest like Celosia, Senna Auriculate, Tagetes, Chrysanthemum, Nelumbo Nucifera, Cucurbita, Cucumis Sativus, Memecylon Edule, Tridax Procumbens, Trachyspermum Ammi, katla, and Teku flowers etc, which bloom in this season in various vibrant colors.

The Women of Telangana people set the natural flowers and prepare it very beautifully, and single color flowers are set in one line or layer,The natural flowers gives the good smell and attract the people.These flowers are helpful who are suffering from diseases.So health point of view this Bathukamma festival helps the people.

Bathukamma is a nine days long festival that ends on Durgashtami and is called Saddula Bathukamma. On this final day immersion of Bathukamma in water bodies is celebrated with utmost devotion and enthusiasm with rhythmic drum beats throughout the Telangana State.

The purpose of the Larung Gar largest religious Buddhist Institute or Academy has been to provide an ecumenical training in Tibetan Buddhism and to meet the need for renewal of meditation and scholarship all over Tibet.

Despite its remote location, located in Larung Valley,  the Larung Gar Largest Religious Buddhist institute or Academy grew from a handful of disciples gathering in Khenpo's home to be one of the largest and most influential centers for the study of Tibetan Buddhism in the World, and about 10,000 monks, nuns, and lay disciples by the tear 2000.

Even though space is scarce, more than 1000 new huts are constructed every year by both Professional Crews and monks and nuns themselves with the help of their families and friends.

Recently a massive blaze has destroyed around 100 huts of nuns studying at a prominent Buddhist Academy in a Tibetan area of China's Sichuan Province.The cause of the fire at the Larung Gar Buddhist Academy , serthar country has not been ascertained, with some sources saying it could have been triggered by a butter lamp in a nun's residence or by a faulty power line.

On 9th January 2014, a major fire burnt out several houses of nuns at the Larung Gar Buddhist Institute or Academy around 8:00 pm, the fire started in a nun's residence and burnt down about 100 residences, located on the backside of the main prayer hall for the nuns.

In this Buddhist Institution the visitors are banned, and around 40,000 Buddhist monks, nuns are stayed in one place, and the little huts are constructed by them, and these are constructed very systematic lanes.The nuns from Hongkong, Singapore, and Malaysia are also coming here to learn the Buddhism.
